PICKLEBALL CAPE TOWN: MAYDAY FOR KIDS
A fundraising initiative to help buy a van & grow pickleball at a grassroots level in Cape Town
My name is Kimi, and I’m raising funds for Pickleball Cape Town NPC, a grassroots initiative supporting children from farming communities in Cape Town. These kids have talent, heart, and an eagerness to learn - but many of them simply can’t get to the pickleball courts where coaching, mentorship, and community are waiting for them
This matters deeply to me because I want to give back to a sport that gives me so much joy and on my last visit to Cape Town, I saw first hand what Pickleball Cape Town NPC provides locals: confidence, belonging, community, and a safe space for children who don’t always get those opportunities. Pickleball Cape Town NPC, led by the incredible Kim Wagner, has built something special - a place where kids feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger than themselves. The main barrier to more children benefiting is transport.
That’s why this campaign - Mayday for Kids - exists. Every dollar raised goes directly toward purchasing a dedicated transport van so more children can play and attend coaching sessions. Your contribution helps cover safe, reliable transport for children living far from the courts.
This isn’t just about pickleball it’s about access, dignity, and giving children a chance to thrive. Your support helps bring more kids to the court, where they can learn, grow, and feel part of a community that believes in them.

Every contribution moves us closer to a dedicated transport van for the kids who need it most. Whether you’re attending, skipping the event, sitting out the auction, or giving from overseas, your donation truly makes a real difference. And if you enjoyed Pickleball Cape Town on holiday, this is your moment to genuinely pay it forward and help more children reach the court. Making a donation is simple and secure and goes directly to Pickleball Cape Town NPC.
Or go all‑in: Donate, come to the event, bid on the cruise - or mix and match. Every contribution helps us get closer to putting more kids on the court.
My goal is to raise at least $AUD10,000 to help Pickleball Cape Town NPC buy a van.
